Hawaii Part 8 – More Waikiki Fun

After enjoying our visit to the Army Museum Sarah and I walked back to our room at the Hale Koa to figure out what our next adventure would consist of. The sky was nice and sunny at this point, so once we made it back to the room we changed and headed off to the beach. I decided to leave my gear in the room, as I didn’t want to worry about storage, or the weather if it decided to take a 180 on us.

We spent about 2 hours at the beach enjoying the sun and surf before our hunger got the best of us. Upon getting back to our room we cleaned up, relaxed a little, and then went to Bibas, a restaurant at the hotel, for a light lunch and drinks. To be honest, I’m not sure how long we stayed at Bibas, and I’ll blame that on the fact neither of us had on a watch, and not the incredibly awesome beverages we indulged on. Haha!

After our fun time at the restaurant, we decided on a little TV before meeting up with Sarah’s parents for dinner, drinks and more at Dukes. Dukes was pretty freakin’ epic, no lie! Everyone else thinks so as well and getting a table there takes military like precision. If you are given the chance, definitely check it out. (You might want to call ahead, or take your chance and sit at the bar.) I highly recommend the Hula Pie, even if it is more of a touristy type novelty.

Leaving Dukes we then went downtown for some more shopping before calling it a night.

Enjoy the post!
