Woke up to another nice sunrise in San Antonio. -Tyler

I was born and raised in the heart of the Texas Hill-Country, just outside of the city of San Marcos, Texas. In the latter half of 2004 I left San Marcos and moved to Lake Tahoe, Nevada for a brief moment before getting homesick and making my way back to Texas. Once back, I kept bouncing around from town to town for a while, before deciding to settle down in San Antonio a few years ago.
My passion for photography started at an early age, as I was always surrounded by and experimenting with some type of camera growing up. However, I didn’t consider pursuing photography as a career until I had a pretty nasty motocross accident that put me on the sidelines. Still wanting to stay involved in the community, but certainly not wanting to risk another injury, I started bringing my gear to the track and capturing photos. I started to build up a nice portfolio and after receiving a lot of positive feedback from various industry personnel, as well as being approached by a few magazines; I knew that I would never be without a camera again. That was a little more than twelve years ago and thankfully, I’ve been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel all over and to contribute my work to the action sports industry ever since.
That’s not to say that it’s been an easy journey though, as I have hit plenty of snags along the way. The biggest of which took place in 2010, 90% of my gear was taken from me by a selfish family member. Unfortunately, that incident caused me to miss out on a lot of great opportunities and assignments which in turn greatly hindered the amount of content I was able to contribute. I was beyond distraught and didn’t know what I’d do next.
During the time I was away from the action sports scene, I started to hike, a lot, and began to document my random adventures along the way. What at first I did just to keep my eye sharp and my creativeness flowing, eventually turned in to a great love of landscape photography. The discipline and patience it requires sucked me in and to this day a vast majority of the projects that I take on involve the great outdoors.
Later in 2010 a good moment took place, and that was when my then girlfriend, and now wife Sarah, said “I do.” With her support and positive reinforcement I had a new found spark of creativity and quickly drafted up ways to climb back to the ranks in which I once stood. The process has been lengthy, almost 3 years to be exact, but I am now ready to once again take the industry by storm and produce some epic content yet again!
This year is going to be a learning year for me and will certainly test my patience, but I am confident that those that see my ideas executed and turned in to stellar images will give their eyes a very pleasant experience.
In closing, I’d like to thank those of you visiting my website for taking the time to do so and I hope that you’ve enjoyed viewing the content as much as I’ve enjoyed producing it. (Depending on how much you like the content, there is always the ability to order one of my photos as a custom print to really add an awesome element to any room in your house or office.)

It’s not very often, at least in my opinion, that a sunrise really stands out. This year I’ve seen only a handful that I have actually admired and regret not having a camera around at the time. Yesterday morning was a different story though, as the sunrise was a nice one and I just happened…
